Comenza, a Spanish brand specializing in the design of industrialized systems for railings and handrails, has just updated its Avis Technique with new features from the GlassFit SV-1400 series of profiles for glass railings, and with the incorporation of the GlassFit SV-1801 RX systems and SV-1802 as solutions for crowded and mass gathering spaces fulfilling the requirement of 3 kN/m.
The Avis Technique is the document issued by the CSTB (Scientific and Technical Centre for Building in France) that validates the reliability and safety of products in the construction sector. Over the years and thanks to the successive improvements carried out by Comenza’s R&D team, the GlassFit Flow range of profile systems for glass railings has become a solution with excellent features. which offers a wide variety of mounting possibilities for different types of use. Among the products included in the new Avis Technique, we find the following:
GlassFit SV-1401 Top / SV-1402 Side / SV-1403 Top / SV-1404 Side
With the update of the document, Comenza certifies that its GlassFit SV-1401, SV-1402, SV-1403 and SV-1404 aluminum profile systems comply with the necessary features for public use. All the profiles in this series have internal drainage, and incorporate the Level-in glass leveling system that eliminates the great inconvenience of traditional fixed wedge devices, and makes leveling economical, easy, and safe.
GlassFit SV-1801 RX / SV-1802 Side Systems
The GlassFit SV-1801 RX and SV-1802 aluminum profile systems for glass railings are the recent additions to the certification update. These products are compatible with LED lighting, have internal drainage, and have been designed for crowded and mass gathering spaces or areas that withstand strong gusts of wind. A good example of this is the SV-1802 Side system that has been installed in the Intempo residential Sky Resort, the tallest residential tower in Europe with 200 meters of hight. Comenza’s solution was chosen due to the high performance it offers in terms of wind loads, and the safety it provides to users as a railing system.
In addition to the products mentioned above, the Avis document n°2.1/18-1794_V3 includes the following new features:
- The GlassFit SV-1801 RX system can be installed on the edge of the slab for 350mm concrete slabs with a C25/30 quality.
- The GlassFit SV-1403 Top system is certified for a railing height of 1100mm, installed with an interior raised floor with a maximum thickness of 132mm.
