Solar Balcony, Juliette Balcony, and curved glass railings: the main innovations that Comenza will present at Veteco 2022

The 17th edition of the International Window, Façade, and Sun Protection Trade Show, VETECO 2022, the only dedicated event for this industry in Spain, will take place from November 15 to 18 in Madrid, featuring a large number of building sector professionals.

Here at Comenza, we will once again be attending this important industry event to exhibit our main innovations in glass railing systems.

Solar Balcony, Juliette Balcony, and curved glass railings

At our 1500-square-foot stand located in Hall 10, No. 10D10 , we will be presenting our latest innovations in glass railing systems. These include:

  • Solar Balcony: A new railing concept that incorporates solar technology to sustainably generate energy and reduce the user’s carbon footprint. Design and innovation come together in this top-mount railing profile system developed to install photovoltaic glass. In this way, it is a system that acts as a protective element against falls while simultaneously, and in a novel manner, generating electricity for the building to use, thus improving its energy efficiency, a key and indispensable feature for any building project developed today. This system is suitable for public and private use, and is compatible with LED lighting, which gives it a more unique, original aesthetic. Plus, all of its electrical components remain hidden from the eye, though they are easily accessible for inspection and maintenance tasks.
  • Juliette Balcony: Unlike traditional balconies, which feature a slab that people can step out onto, the Juliette balcony is a functional element that protects against falls with a tall window or glass door and does not allow for access to the outside. This system, developed by Comenza and tested to meet all private use safety requirements, allows for glass lengths of up to 1200mm. It can be assembled on the façade, the window frame, or between door jambs. The glass can be installed from the interior or exterior of the home. Furthermore, this Juliette balcony system can be lacquered in your color of choice to match the carpentry of the building or the façade.
  • GlassFit CC-800 System: With a minimalist design, the GlassFit CC-800 clamp system for glass railing systems allows for the installation of longer pieces of glass, which in turn permits more space between anchors, thus reducing installation times and facilitating a quick and affordable execution. It includes the LEVEL 3D and SLOT 180 leveling devices so that you can correctly level and align the system, allowing you to work around any irregularities or deviations in the slab. It is available in three finishing options: gloss, satin, and Black Finish in black PVD, with AISI-316 or DUPLEX 2205 quality. The latter is ideal for installation in areas with high exposure to chlorine, such as swimming pools. Additionally, its design has been optimized to be suitable for installing curved glass.
  • Sekkei Handrail: Conceived based on the idea of merging Galician and Japanese culture, Comenza has collaborated with Japanese designer Ryosuke Fukusada to develop this line of Japanese-inspired Each Sekkei Handrail system is characterized by a unique design and avant-garde aesthetic. Thus, we can find three different proposals that share a minimalist style centered around simple lines, in which serenity, order, and harmonious shapes stand out as the predominant features.

Committed to safety

We have established a fundamental commitment to the users of our railing systems. For this reason, our R+D+i department specializes in the development of innovative, industrialized railing systems that meet building regulations and thus guarantee the required level of safety. Our railing systems are rigorously tested based on CTE requirements, using the only variable action resistance verification method by applying the partial safety coefficient of 1.5. This is an essential component when it comes to guaranteeing the utmost safety of railing systems.

At Comenza, we have our own air-conditioned testing laboratory where we perform both static and dynamic load testing, which allows us to offer products tested under the most demanding conditions. We also work closely with the most prestigious certification companies to ensure that our railing systems adapt to and comply with building regulation specifications in each country where they are sold. Additionally, we offer customized services for each project through our technical office, providing professionals with: adaptive FEM simulations, railing anchoring studies, static wind pressure assessments, BIM objects, or material certificates, among others.

If you would like to see all the solutions we offer first-hand, we invite you to visit us at VETECO, in IFEMA Hall 10, stand 10D10, from November 15-18. You can request a free invitation by e-mailing us at [email protected]. See you there!
