1500 meters of Comenza railings provide security and design to the new commercial area of Torre Caleido
Inaugurated in 2020, Torre Caleido, with its 181 meters in height, has quickly positioned as one of the most emblematic and distinctive buildings in Madrid due to its avant-garde design and its privileged location in the Chamartín neighborhood. This fifth tower, along with its four sisters, the tallest in Madrid, is located in the renowned financial complex Cuatro Torres Business Area (CTBA) at the end of Paseo de la Castellana. In addition to its tourist appeal, Torre Caleido will undoubtedly be the most open building to the public in the area, standing out as the central hub of a new commercial and leisure area with more than 15,000 square meters distributed over four floors. The remodeling has been carried out by Espacio Caleido, in collaboration with Fenwick Iribarren architecture studio.
Around 1500m/l of Comenza GlassFit SV-1401 and SV-1404 railing systems have been chosen to provide design and safety to the commercial and leisure area of Torre Caleido.
Our systems have been installed in the urban squares that make up the complex, humanizing the environment around the four towers. One of the systems chosen for this purpose is our GlassFit SV-1401, a profile system for top-mounted glass railings with internal drainage. It offers a quick and convenient installation process from inside the construction site using the LEVEL IN leveling device, which eliminates the main drawback of conventional fixed-wedge devices, which cannot adjust the level of the glass. This feature helps to minimize installation errors and speed up project completion times. The GlassFit SV-1404 system has also been selected for the project, with lateral mounting and similar drainage and leveling characteristics to the SV-1401, but with the ability to accommodate thicker glass.
