In one of the most iconic areas of San Sebastian, with direct views of the emblematic La Concha Beach, there is a building that stands out for its privileged location and architectural value. Specifically located on Zubieta street, the building has recently undergone a renovation of the exterior railing systems, with the aim of modernising its image and adapting it to the highest standards of safety and design.

The project, directed by the architect Lourdes Arzumendi, aimed to maximise the entry of natural light and the views of the sea, key aspects in the choice of Comenza railing systems, selected for their technical and aesthetic advantages. La Veneciana (Glassolutions) was chosen as the installer for the execution of the project, along with Comenza’s glass railing systems, which offer a modern and safe solution.

GlassFit SV-1701 and GlassFit SV-1703, both top-mounted systems, were selected for their security and durability. Thanks to their minimalist design and the absence of intrusive visual elements, these profiles maximise transparency and make the most of the views of La Concha Beach from inside the building. In addition, the profiles can be lacquered in a wide range of colours, which allows their adaptation to the aesthetic requirements of any project.

GlassFit Frame FB-10 French balcony system is designed for maximum security, easy installation and a contemporary design that fits into the facade. Unlike traditional vertical bar systems, FB-10 maintains a clean, modern aesthetic without visual interference. It offers three mounting options: on the facade, in the window frame or between jambs, which gives it great versatility during installation. It’s customizable in terms of finishes (BA, SATIN and Black Finish) and is compatible with LED lighting systems, making it a highly functional solution.

As the building is located in a coastal area exposed to demanding wind conditions, the structural strength of the installed systems was a decisive factor in their choice. All three railing systems are designed to offer high performance in demanding environments, meeting safety requirements for private and public use.
