The residential building with the best views of La Concha Beach features Comenza systems

In one of the most iconic areas of San Sebastián, with direct views of the emblematic La Concha Beach, stands a residential building distinguished by its privileged location and architectural value. Located on Zubieta Street, the building has recently undergone a renovation of its exterior railing systems, with the aim of modernizing its appearance and meeting the highest standards of safety and design.

The project, led by architect Lourdes Arzumendi, aimed to maximize natural light and sea views, key factors in the choice of Comenza systems, selected for their technical performance and aesthetics. The installation was carried out by La Veneciana (Glassolutions), using Comenza systems to provide a modern, safe solution that blends seamlessly into its surroundings.

Comenza systems installed

The Comenza railing systems GlassFit SV-1701 and GlassFit SV-1703, both top-mounted systems, were selected for their ability to provide safety and durability. Thanks to their minimalist design and the absence of visually intrusive elements, these profiles maximize transparency and allow residents to fully enjoy the views of La Concha Beach from inside the building.

In addition, the profiles can be powder-coated in a wide range of colours, allowing them to be tailored to the aesthetic requirements of each project.

The GlassFit Frame FB-10 French balcony system has been designed to provide maximum safety, easy installation, and a contemporary design that blends discreetly into the façade. Unlike traditional systems with vertical bars, the FB-10 maintains a clean, modern aesthetic without visual obstructions.

It offers three mounting options: on the façade, on the window frame, or between jambs, providing great versatility on site. It is also available in polished, satin, or black finishes and is compatible with LED lighting systems, making it a highly customizable and functional solution.

Given that the building is located in a coastal area exposed to high wind loads, the structural strength of all the installed systems was a key factor in their selection. All three railing systems are designed to deliver high performance in demanding environments, meeting the safety requirements for private and public use.

TESTIMONIALS

The interior designer responsible for this project and director of Alexandra Studio, Dominique Alexandra, highlights that “from an aesthetic perspective, the owners placed great emphasis on enhancing and showcasing light, fluid, and serene spaces.” In this context, the choice of Comenza’s GlassFit CC-775 side-mount adapter systems allows light to flow freely, bringing a minimalist touch to the area and creating a completely open space.

“Our clients explained very clearly what they wanted, giving us the freedom we needed to bring to life a project that met their requirements while remaining harmonious and sophisticated.”
