At Comenza, we are expanding the possibilities of the GlassFit Surface range with new glazing kits, known as PL-Curved, specifically developed for installing curved glass in our glass railing clamp systems.
With this expansion, all GlassFit Surface clamp systems now have a dedicated solution for radii of curvature between 1 and 4 metres. For radii greater than 4 metres, the standard glazing kit remains available. PL-Curved kits are supplied on request and tailored to the specific requirements of each project.

Which GlassFit Surface systems are compatible with the new PL curved kits?
Compatibility with curved glass has been extended to all Comenza clamp systems.
| System | Curved glass glazing kit |
| GlassFit CC-780 | PL-70 Curved |
| GlassFit CC-782 | PL-72 Curved |
| GlassFit CC-791 | PL-71 Curved |
| GlassFit CC-800 | PL-80 Curved |
| GlassFit CC-801 | PL-81 Curved |
As a result, our entire GlassFit Surface glass railing system range can be used for both straight and curved sections, increasing the versatility of these solutions and their adaptability to all types of projects.
What are the benefits of Curved glazing kits for clamp systems?
Same base, lower cost impact
PL Curved kits allow curved glass to be installed while retaining the standard base of the clamp system. To adapt each section, only the corresponding glazing kit needs to be added. This eliminates the need to manufacture or adapt an entire version of the system for each geometry. The additional cost associated with the curved section is mainly limited to the glass and the specific PL Curved components, reducing the financial impact compared with solutions that require modifications to a greater number of system components.
Easier and more controlled installation
As these solutions have been specifically developed for curved glass, they reduce the need for modifications during installation and enable faster, more precise and reliable assembly. For installers and glazing professionals, this means having a predefined solution for this type of geometry, minimizing the need for on-site adaptations and providing greater control over the final result.
Precise adaptation to curved glass
PL Curved kits have been developed to adapt GlassFit Surface clamp systems to different radii of curvature, ensuring secure glass fixing and seamless integration into the overall design. The curved geometry is achieved through the shaping of the glass itself and the installation of the specific glazing kit, while retaining the standard clamp base. This allows curved sections to be installed without subjecting the railing system to additional bending processes.
Fewer products, simpler logistics
The standard base of the clamp system remains unchanged regardless of the glass’s radius of curvature. Therefore, in projects featuring different curved sections, there is no need to manage a complete version of the system for each radius. Only the glass and the corresponding PL Curved kit vary according to each geometry, reducing the number of specific product references required and simplifying material management, supply and organization, particularly in projects involving multiple curved sections with different radii.
PL Curved expands the possibilities of the GlassFit Surface range
With the new PL Curved kits, we are expanding the use of GlassFit Surface clamp systems to projects featuring curved geometries, while maintaining the range’s core principles: safety, precision, ease of installation and a clean, minimalist aesthetic.
By retaining the standard system base and adapting only the glazing kit, straight and curved sections can be integrated into a single solution, simplifying system configuration and reducing the complexity associated with these types of projects.
