Villa Alcotanes: designer luxury railings on the Costa del Sol
Located in the sought-after coastal city of Marbella, in the heart of Spain’s Costa del Sol, Villa Alcotanes is an exquisite property spanning more than 854 m², meticulously designed to offer an extraordinary living experience where luxury, elegance, safety, and comfort come together seamlessly with designer luxury railings.
The GlassFit CC-775 side-mount adapter systems in Black Finish were selected for this project to provide safety and design along the interior staircase connecting the three levels of this impressive residence. The architectural studio Flow81 was responsible for the design of the joinery and railings, while Alexandra Studio was responsible for the villa’s interior design.
The project in detail
The interior designer responsible for this project and director of Alexandra Studio, Dominique Alexandra, highlights that “from an aesthetic perspective, the owners placed great emphasis on enhancing and showcasing light, fluid, and serene spaces.” In this context, the choice of Comenza’s GlassFit CC-775 side-mount adapter systems allows light to flow freely, bringing a minimalist touch to the area and creating a completely open space.
“Our clients explained very clearly what they wanted, giving us the freedom we needed to bring to life a project that met their requirements while remaining harmonious and sophisticated,” explains interior designer Dominique Alexandra.

The system also stands out for its ease of installation thanks to Level 2D devices, which allow the glass panels to be levelled quickly and easily, even after the glass has been installed, and Slot 360, which allows the bases to be aligned with one another through 360° adjustments around their central axis.

Villa Alcotanes: Regulatory Compliance
The GlassFit CC-775 system complies with the requirements of the Spanish Technical Building Code (CTE) for private-use (0.8 kN/m) and public-use (1.6 kN/m) categories, verified through physical testing in accordance with the UNE 85-238 standard for railings. It is installed with 8+8 laminated tempered glass, with panel lengths of up to 1,000 mm and a height of 1,100 mm. By applying a partial safety factor of 1.5, the system ensures compliance with the requirements established by the CTE (Basic Document on Safety of Use and Accessibility and Basic Document on Structural Safety).
