White and Sea: a residential oasis in the heart of Marseille with Comenza railings
Marseille, a vibrant city located on the beautiful southern coast of France, has earned a well-deserved reputation as a popular tourist destination and a constantly growing cultural hub. With its historic architecture and stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, Marseille offers an unrivalled quality of life.
In the heart of this charming city lies the White and Sea residential building, a true oasis for those seeking to combine modern comfort with the beauty of the natural surroundings. The building also features Comenza GlassFit SV-1402 glass railing systems, providing safety and design throughout its façade and outdoor pool area.
The project in detail
White and Sea stands out for its contemporary architecture and elegant, minimalist design. Its name is no coincidence, as the pure white design takes centre stage, creating a striking contrast with the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea. With clean lines and sophisticated finishes, this residential development blends subtly into the coastal landscape.
The GlassFit SV-1402 profile systems, distributed by Glass Partners Solutions France (GPS), stand out primarily for their internal drainage and integrated Level-in glass levelling system, which eliminates the main drawback of traditional fixed-wedge systems and makes levelling cost-effective, easy and safe. Furthermore, the use of GlassFit SV-1402 profile systems on the panoramic terraces of White and Sea allows residents to enjoy natural light and unobstructed views while providing maximum safety.

Regulatory compliance and Avis Technique
The GlassFit SV-1402 system complies with the requirements of the Spanish Technical Building Code (CTE) for private-use (0.8 kN/m) and public-use (1.6 kN/m) categories, verified through physical testing in accordance with the UNE 85-238 standard for railings. It is installed with 8+8 laminated tempered glass for private use and 10+10 laminated tempered glass for public use, with heights of up to 1,100 mm. By applying a partial safety factor of 1.5, the system ensures compliance with the requirements of the CTE (Basic Document on Safety of Use and Accessibility and Basic Document on Structural Safety).
The GlassFit SV-1402 system, along with all systems in the SV-1400 series, is included in the latest update of the Avis Technique, a document issued by the CSTB (the Scientific and Technical Centre for Building in France), which validates the reliability and safety of products in the construction sector. This latest update also includes Comenza’s GlassFit SV-1801 RX and SV-1802 profile systems as solutions for high-occupancy areas, meeting the required load of 3 kN/m.
